Water Billing
The Village of Lake Odessa bills quarterly for water service with bills mailed in January, April, July and October. Due dates for water bills are January 31, April 30, July 31 and October 31. Water usage is billed per thousand gallons of water used and is shown as WA on your bill.
The water bill is divided into two categories: fixed costs (called "Water Service Charge") and variable costs (called "Water Inside Village" and better known as water usage). The fixed portion of the rate is used to cover fixed costs associated with maintaining the Village's water system. The usage portion of the rate is used to cover the variable costs of providing the services to our residents. Residential water usage is billed at $3.61 per 1,000 gallon increments. Non-Residential usage rates are $7.22 per 1,000 gallon increments. The water service charge is determined by the meter size of a home. All water rates are set annually by the Lake Odessa Village Council.
